On November 2, 2025, "China Guizhou Meijin Hydrogen Energy's 'Production-Storage-Transportation-Refueling-Application' integrated comprehensive energy project was selected (into the list/plan)".

The National Energy Administration released the list of hydrogen energy pilot projects in the energy sector, and the "Production-Storage-Transportation-Refueling-Application" integrated comprehensive energy project of Meijin Hydrogen Energy in Liuzhi Special Zone, Guizhou was selected.This project of Meijin Hydrogen Energy in Liuzhi Special Zone, Guizhou relies on Liupanshui's abundant coal resources and leverages the enterprise's technological advantages in comprehensive coal utilization. It innovatively adopts coke oven gas to hydrogen production technology, converting industrial by-products into high-purity hydrogen with a purity of 99.999%. With an annual output of 3,572 tons of high-purity hydrogen, the project has built a domestically independent full-chain clean hydrogen energy system covering "production, storage, transportation, refueling and application", realizing a full-process low-carbon closed loop from resources to application.

In addition, the project operator has put into operation 1 hydrogen energy bus route with 4 buses, 2 hydrogen fuel cell locomotives, and 100 hydrogen energy heavy-duty trucks. Among them, the trial operation of such commercial hydrogen energy locomotives has filled the gap in the field of hydrogen energy railways; the 100 hydrogen energy heavy-duty trucks have built a "zero-carbon logistics corridor"; and the 4 hydrogen energy buses shuttling through urban areas have formed a demonstration matrix covering freight and passenger transportation. These efforts have enabled the "zero-emission" transformation of Liupanshui's railway freight and urban transportation.Meanwhile, 1 high-purity hydrogen filling station and 3 smart hydrogen refueling stations supporting the project have been put into use. In the future, the project will expand into smart operation platforms, commercial maintenance centers, and hydrogen energy vehicle assembly and manufacturing industries in Liupanshui, driving the rapid development of Guizhou's hydrogen energy industry.
